Contributor

The contributor role is a lighter version of the author’s role.

It possesses the following capabilities:

• Create an article (without publishing).
• Take control of your writing by editing your own articles.
• Delete your own articles
• Read all articles

The contributor does not have the ability to publish an article, edit, or delete an article that has already been published, or upload a file (e.g., an image). It is the role of an editor or administrator to publish the contributor’s articles.

This type of user is ideal for someone whose content needs to be validated before publishing. This is typically the case for new creators on a site or guest bloggers.
