In WordPress, a blog is a collection of one or more posts. An article typically contains text, images, or videos.

Unlike the concept of a page, an article is:

• Arranged chronologically in the blog (from newest to oldest).
• Categorized into one or more categories.
• Attached to labels (if necessary).
• Published in an RSS feed.
• Related to an author.
• Independent of other blog posts.

Articles are commonly employed to initiate discussions and showcase comments.

The post type in a WordPress installation is a default feature.
